The department of life sciences was established by the chairman of the GICTS group of Institution with the affiliation of Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 2002. The department has stimulating graduate programme B.Sc. in Biotechnology, B.Sc. in Microbiology & B. Sc. in Biochemistry and post-graduate programme M.Sc. in Biotechnology & M.Sc. in Microbiology. The department has very well-equipped, latest laboratory facilities and other amenities to offer the best education. There are separate laboratory for Biotechnology, Molecular biology, Tissue culture, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany and Chemistry with with modern equipments like PCR, Cooling centrifuge, SDS Page Assembly, Electrophoresis unit, UV trans eliminator, UV Spectrophotometer, Laminar Air Flow, BOD incubator, Environmental Chamber, Deep Freezer, Micro centrifuge, Tissue Homogenizer, pH meter, Autoclave etc.A well equipped computer laboratory with Pentium based computers and latest software for teaching.
